Maturing in the Art of Herbalism - Holiday Edition

In this hands-on class, we will explore the wonder of plants and the healing properties tucked in them. Each week we will study the herb of the week, building what’s called a materia medica, a resource students can use to identify these plants later, recording the herbal actions, affinities (what organs, systems, or tissue they gravitate toward in the body), energetics taste, and uses. Most weeks, students will take home a sample of the herb of the week to prepare and try a remedy at home, making notes of their experience with the plant. 

This class is for students with a passion to learn the healing art of herbalism. Previous experience with creating herbal remedies and using everyday kitchen garden herbs is beneficial but not required. Students with a strong desire to learn are welcome to register.  Ages 11-15
