Math Tutoring

LESSON FEES:

$60 for a 60-minute lesson

$50 for a 45-minute lesson

$35 for a 30-minute lesson

SUBJECTS: Math Concepts/Intervention, Singapore Math Curriculum, Pre-Algebra, Algebra 1, Geometry

Amy has a warm and relational approach to tutoring children. She loves math herself and is especially strong at building confidence in students who are reluctant math learners, using games, simple memory strategies, and making problem solving fun.

Amy majored in Economics and minored in French at the University of California, Berkeley. She later earned her K-8 teaching credential in California at CSU Hayward. She homeschooled two of her three children through eighth grade and one all the way through high school. She previously served as an instructor for high school math at Ecclesia Classes Homeschool Cooperative, teaching Algebra I, Algebra 2, and Geometry.

Before having children, Amy taught middle school math, language arts and social studies at both public and private schools for four years and carried her K-8 teaching credential in California.
