Gardening in the Cool Season - February

Come experience the joy of gardening as we transition from a summer garden to a fall/winter garden. This will be a hands-on class. We’ll learn about gardening in a raised bed as well as in an aeroponic garden. We’ll start some seedlings indoors and sow others directly in the soil or Tower. We’ll continue to check our soil, making sure it’s rich and nourishing. We’ll identify and pull weeds (and learn a bit about the nutrition they hold). We’ll compare the growth of plants planted in the soil to those planted in an aeroponic gardening system. 

Through it all, our goal will be to understand the wonders and benefits of plants, to grow in health, in the skill of gardening, and as stewards of the earth.
