Botany Basics for Budding Plant Lovers (ages 6-10) - In this hands-on class, we will learn foundational skills to identify plants in the wild. Students will learn to see the forest through the trees. In fact, they’ll learn to see both the forest, the big picture in which the amazing herbs and plants they are getting to know abide;  and the trees, the characteristics of plant families that will enable them to quickly and easily identify many of the most common and useful herbs and those that are like them. This will be a hands-on class in which each week, we'll work with the plants we are studying, noticing their habitat, growth patterns, leaf patterns and structure of their flowers.
